Re: [RC] 'Grand Prix' style finish is not endurance - Nancy Sturm

This brings so many applications to mind. Think of the Kentucky Derby.
After the first three horses crossed the finish, the others could just pull
up and walk back to the barn. Daytona 500? Time for a beer, boys.

When I used to run half-marathons, there were a couple of times that if
someone had notified me that the race was over (I would have been about to
the mid point) I could have happly walked off the course and gone home.

How does that work anyway? Do the disqualified horses get a trailer ride
back or do they get ridden back?

Nancy
