RE: [RC] Accurate Records (was: Pull codes etc.) - heidi

Kat, you have my sympathies.  I had horrible problems in years past with my second stallion's rides being added to his deceased sire's ride record.  I faithfully used his horse number, but invariably somebody in the office would decide once again that it was a "mistake" and lump him back in with his dad.  I thought it was amazing that the AERC office could magically resurrect dead horses, and was on the verge of suggesting that they offer their unique ability to veterinarians around the country!

However, that was before our current office staff became the office staff.  While I've not tried to correct the inaccurate pull codes (but am grateful that the veterinary committee is trying to keep such inaccuracies from happening in the future), I have been grateful that the current staff has been able to get my record right, once and for all.  Despite some wonky pull codes (and of course the fact that pulls prior to a certain time were not recorded), at least now it reflects the proper rides and mileage to the proper horses, and it seems to stay that way!

I have given up on the idea of my AERC record being accurate. It isn't
accurate with respect to the rides I have started, the rides I have
finished, OR the reasons that I haven't finished if I haven't.

And the last time I tried fixing it after it was published, new errors
were introduced. This was years ago. There have since been additional
inaccuracies added to the record. I don't even bother trying to fix it.
