Re: [RC] Old Dominion Ride Meeting - Lynne Glazer

Good luck!

We do the slip of paper so that the vet card only has to be pulled out when you see the vet---but we have no requirement to see the vet right away, often they don't want to see 'em until halfway though the hold at least.

So the vet card stays legible, and the in/pulse/out paper gets trashed and who cares because it's only one for each vet check.

IIRC, Terry Woolley Howe started it at her rides, I did it at all of mine as well. And most PS rides provide baggies so that the vet card stays readable throughout the ride.

Also, we just couldn’t possibly just use ride cards like every other ride in the world other than Biltmore, we’ve gotta get used to the special “just for here” system of keeping the card put away, keeping up with a special slip of paper, pulling the right one out at the right time, etc. etc. to get the exact same result. If somebody can convince me it’s an improvement I’ll try to get over it, but till then, I’ll gripe. If this stuff is residue from FEI I’m liable to join the whiners camp when I’ve been a defender in the past.
