[RC] Barbaro story on HBO - tichenor06

I watched the hour long documentary last night.  It was very good I thought.  Sad, make sure you watch with tissues.  He was so beautiful, and a very good patient for them.  He must have had a very high threshold for pain.  I couldn't watch the part where they were going to decide to euthanized him.  I had to change the channel for a little bit.

Very interesting new directions the vet world is taking.  For instance, how they have the horse "wake-up" after surgery.  Much safer than long ago.  They mentioned when Ruffian awoke from her surgery, she struggled, and broke her elbow, which is why the euthanized her in the end.  They said Barbaro was an ideal patient.

According to my direct tv dish, it will be on 28 times more.

He had a very kind eye, and a beautiful head too.

Did they ever find out if he had a larger than normal heart?
