[RC] Horse Identification - apachepetra

I am not so much as worryed about the identification preventing the horse
from being stolen as I am about it helping them to be returned after they
got lost or stolen. I feel the thing that is most likely to happen to me
is that my horse will get loose from camp or something would happen out on
the trail. I know that if I came across a horse that was wandering around
the first thing that I would look for was identifying marks or such. It
would be much farther down my list to think about a microchip. Besides I
don't think microchips are near as widely used in my area of the country
as other places. The only reason I had ever heard of microchips was
because of the NAIS program a year or two ago. I just like the visible
identification mark that the freeze branding provides.
Thanks for the replies
Beth
