[RC] Horse identification - Kristi Schaaf

Beth -
I have 1" dog collar type ID tags on all my bridles,
saddles and halters just in case a horse and I go our
separate ways, and similiar to what Truman suggested,
all it has on it is my last name and phone numbers.
But someone on another list made the suggestion of
braiding a tag in a small portion of mane up high near
the poll so it's always with the horse, and I might
try that during trips. No, it won't deter thieves, but
I'm not sure anything does, and it will hopefully get
my horse back to me quickly. I've had the experience
of watching my 'unmarked' horse gallop out of camp and
it's not a good feeling.

Life's a journey, so enjoy the ride (and try not to fall off)
