Re: [RC] Cowboy Magic , whoops - Barbara Moultonback in the 70's when I was married and my X and and I bred and showed Black Cockers our personal show ring secret was Afrosheen- tried to find some to try on Joy's black mane last time I was in Ga in 2004 and the closest I could come was a wimpified version called Miraclesheen. Doesn't have the brilliant pop of the original which I suspect also had black dye in it. Our black dogs would get sunburned and matted with some split ends from playing around and living like real dogs and once they were sprayed down with the Afrosheen they were patentleather black anbd shiny- just like the poor dogs who live 24/7 in a kennel wrapped in perm rod papers and bobby pins to keep their feathered skirt perfect without any owner guilt or bad karma. Joy's mane is super thick and fluffy prone to being fly away and the miraclesheen slicks it right down without making it oily or unnatural looking- last about three days of silky texture per application.
