Re: [RC] overo arabs - desertrydr1I looked at the horses for sale, there was a baby that was mostly white, wiht a chesnut sprinkle mainly on the back, it was described as maximum sabino. Very cute, but my friend has one that has that beat by a mile! She has a maximum sabino Thoroughbred/Paint yearling filly that has a dust of red on her ears, a greyish mane and tail, and partial eyeliner, with darker but not entirely brown eyes. Very pretty filly out of a PB TB stallion noted for throwing white babies. He's black sabino, stands at Painted Desert ranch in Oregon.
It's funny because I boarded my mare at that stable to foal out last year, we had three babies, a dark bay mare and dark bay filly (Warmblood/Andulusian), the white filly otu of a BLACK mare, and my born black/turning grey colt out of a snow-white/grey mare. The owner's mother in law has a touch of dementia, and was very confused how that white mare had a black baby. Two weeks later, when the white filly was born, she was even more confused! jeri
