Re: [RC] "protocol for abandonment" - John Teeter

I think it (abandonment) is used for what is generally called Rider Option in the US. As I recall, FEI has "Eliminated" and "Abandoned" with reason codes for the Eliminated.

So I'm guessing "protocol for abandonment" is the process of removing your self from the competition. Things like a required vet exam and notice to the appropriate FEI officials.

(but?relevant FEI documents should be referenced on this. I was thinking I saw it in the FEI spreadsheet used to report results.)

Subject: [RC] other FEI problems

John or Steph, under your world news headline is an article titled, "FEI World Endurance Forum identities areas for further action." One of the line items is "protocol for abandonment". Does that mean what I think it means?
