[RC] Posting back to basics (I humbly disagree) - Sheila_Larsen

I agree that the posting movement comes from opening your hip
joints/flexors and bringing your hips forward and rolling forward slightly
onto your thighs, but your butt should be relaxed. If you tighten your
butt muscles then you end up tightening the upper inside of your tights
which creates tension. You shouldn't be posting off your feet, they should
feel underneath you the entire time. If the horse disappeared you could
land on your feet. Ok when my horse disappears from underneath me I
usually land in the dirt after hanging off her neck. : > ) )

A lovely horse is always an experience.... It is an emotional experience of
the kind that is spoiled by words. ~Beryl Markham
