From the pictures I have seen of the half starved cows wandering around,
they probably the lucky ones.

Please do not get me wrong. I posted that not to claim that India is more enlightened or humane than USA, but to show that eating or not eating a particular animal is a cultural/religous thing, not some sort of universal law that all humans must obey.
