RE: [RC] slaughter vs consumption - Jessica Cameron

What exactly is going to happen to those horses? Are you going to take them in? Are they just going to be turned loose? No one has come up with a viable alternative to slaughtering. Everyone just wants to feel good and know that no horse is going to be slaughtered, but will live a life of neglect and eventually have a long drawn out, painful death. Yes, there is over-breeding. Yes, there are irresponsible owners. But, all this is going to do is make the problem worse.

Hi Jessica,

Just FYI - if the current bill is passed, then NO HORSES will legally go to Mexico or Canada. Yes, there will always be some who will lie, cheat and steal, to get the horses over the border......

It is also important to know that it is not the vocal minority pushing this legislation. Recent polls tell us that the majority of Americans do not support slaughter.

Those same horses are still going to be
slaughtered, it will just be done in Canada or Mexico where they will face a
long trailer ride, followed by a long wait time in deplorable conditions.
