Re: [RC] Girth Loop Question - Diane Trefethen

... I just bought a Girth Loop, but I am afraid it might rub my horse where it lays on the girth...It is a beta-biothane type material. Any advice/suggestions/experiences with girth loops? Thanks!!

-Erin

Hi Erin,

I have been using a girth loop (biothane) for almost 20 years and never had a chafing problem.

I have a traditional English leather girth with a girth cover (I use either a cotton one or a wool one) and I put the girth loop over the girth and the cover.

Diane
