[RC] Girth Loop Question - Tx Trigger

Erin posted: >>> I just recently got a neoprene girth thats great, but it doesn't have a D-ring in the middle of it so I can't attach my breast collar.  I just bought a Girth Loop, but I am afraid it might rub my horse where it lays on the girth...It is a beta-biothane type material.  Any advice/suggestions/experiences with girth loops?<<<<

Not probably what you want to hear.... I don't buy girths without the ring built in anymore. I lost too many girth loops, where I'd unfasten breastcollar, then when I undid girth to take saddle off, forgot, and girth loop falls off...  Just hard for me to keep track of them.  Yes, some horses may be more sensitive. I have had some girths that have the D ring built in to the girth still cause problems, as the method used to attach the D caused a big bump in the girth at that spot. I now always feel the side of the girth that will be against the horse, to make sure there is no lump/bump from the D being sewn in.
