The problem with this advice, great as it is, is that horse ownership in general and Endurance in particular are addictive behaviors. It a very difficult addiction to break. It is not recognized by medical insurance, and there are no 12 step groups. This means that those suffering must break the addiction with little or no help.

Also, it is a little known fact that this list is composed mainly of enablers, who are afraid to admit their own addiction.
