Isn't this the same "horse expert" that thought having a vet check prior to
an endurance ride would be really a keen idea to prevent snotty noses at
endurance rides?

I'd take this with a grain of salt!

Heck my almost 4 year old colt doesn't even act like that and the geldings
really don't. I have had hussy mares back right under the geldings noses
trying to encourage them and the geldings walked away thinking the mare
was
crazy.

IMO, it is cruel to have more geldings than mares in any pasture or
paddock.
  Geldings may not be able to produce foals, but they don't know that,
and
they still love sex.
