Tell ME, why are you so consistently adamant about this issue?

I'm adamant about this issue because I care about it.

Do you even
have children of your own? Most of us parents have seen our kids through
childhood with horses and hiking and skiing, etc. and the kids have grown up
responsible and mature. When a kid is 6, two years seems like a lifetime.

To the child, yes. But a six-year-old isn't mature enough to make his own
decisions in these matters.

I trust most parents to be responsible enough to make sound choices for
their kids.

So do I ... MOST parents. Not all, alas. And the AERC must accept that it has
responsibilities here, too. A majority of AERC members support an age limit.

Why don't you just drop this issue. It's hardly an epidemic.
What.....two kids in the past 5 years or so????

There were at least two, and at a number of rides, in the past year alone. And
it only takes one tragic accident to destroy a life.
