Ice cream is an excellent source of bioavailable calcium. It will be
provided free in unlimited quantities by the Women's Health Initiative to
study the above bone/breast question.

FWIW, my OB/GYN looked askance at me post-ovariohysterectomy when I
opted to go cold turkey with no hormone replacement.  But then he said,
"Oh, well, you'll make it--you've got enough fat."  Now some women might
not have taken that as a compliment!  <g>
