What I have also found to be an incredible help is riding with the local barn people. Scarlet has learned to really focus on what I want and not the group because we'll be riding with such a mixed bag. Some people haul ass, others are afraid and go slow. I alternately put Scarlet with different sections of the groups so she could learn that we would go at MY pace, where I wanted to go. It's worked wonders at getting her to quit spazzing out at rides when 60+ horses take off in front of her. She's still excited, but she doesn't fight me. Rae Tall C Arabians - Central
