RE: [RC] LBL ride - Kristen A Fisher

It's 650 miles one-way from the DFW area - we have a lot of rides well
within that distance [hell the NM rides are 100 miles closer!]

My group of friends had planned to return to LBL for the ride after we saw
how great it was there when we did the trail masters class - now it
conflicts with our regional ride and other work commitments the week before
:(

However I must say all the folks we met there were extremely friendly [late
August] and were all having a good time without being rowdy.

I lived near here for 10 years and never made it down to 
ride. I know that one of the reasons I never rode htere was 
that I heard it was a party camp ground and that people were 
drunken fools in the camp ground. I'm sure it's not true all 
the time, but I seriously regret never having gone there to 
ride wheN I was 1.5 hours away. Now, living in TX, I drive 
that far to ride for the day all the time. When I lived in 
Henderson, KY it seemed so far away...


Spring Break Conflicts will fill up the Campground & Trails 

at LBL in

Golden Pond, Kentucky. This is a safety issue for our 
ENDURANCE RIDERS!
We have put in our permit to get the 30 acre Generator 
Field(Overflow) = area. There will be a $12.00 a 
night/camping fee, if you park in the = field.
The riders will be able to use their electrical pens in this 
field only!
