I think in most cases the deals have already been
made. But I'm certainly not an expert on this (!) - the best advice
on any real estate purchase is to have a title search by a reputable title
company. Any kind of encumbrance, liens, right of way, etc., on the
land would show up, I believe. You could also check with the local BLM and
USFS offices. They should provide you with any pending contracts or
purchases.

I would not want to buy land thinking I have forest service land next
door, then find out I do not because of one of these Deals... is there a site
I can really read the facts or does someone know what they are???
