Re: [RC] dismount and walk or jog with horse? - Patty P

Well, for one, I am out of shape. I started treatment for lupus in 2000, and it wasnt until moving to Arizona in 2003 that I could even consider riding at all. Joint pain was the main problem...all major joints. But this wonderful dry air helps so much that I can ride again. However, my muscles are severely out of shape from not riding for five years.

So...I think that wall exercise just might help if I can stand it...along with just building up my workouts.

Lots of very experienced riders do it too.  There is nothing wrong with
doing it but if I were you, I'd want to find out why my knee is cramping
and get that fixed too.
