RE: [RC] daughter needs help..trivia question/wendell robie - heidi

Hi all, got sort of an urgent question for my daughter.   
  
She's writing a paper on the Tevis Ride and the history of it for her 
American History class at UC Davis. 
She's finishing it up tonight. 
  
She needs the name of Wendell Robies horse.  The first one he rode that trail 
on.  Also, needs to know if this horse was  a TB or arab cross etc. (thought 
TB for some reason), and name. 
  
Sure hope some of you veterans are on RC right now! 


He rode his purebred Arabian stallion Bandos for the first two years
(1955 and 1956).  Bandos was a grey, foaled in 1940, and was bred by JM
Dickinson of Travelers Rest--he was by the WR Brown (Maynesboro) import
*Nasr and out of the Dickinson Polish import *Ba-Ida.
