Re: [RC] Medical Helicopters - Truman Prevatt

Well I've been 39 for years and I don't ride my horse with my billfold so it's my word against their ;-) .

My wife writes grant proposals for the local state forest recreational coordinator. Our forest has a corner set aside for ATV's. It's a nice facility and all ATV's use that area an not the rest of the forest.

She is currently writing a grant to get 4WD vehicle that can carry the EMT's in to injured parties and get the injured parties out to where they can land a chopper since they can't even take a 4WD ambulance because of the chopped up ground in nor can they land a chopper because of the tree cover.

There seems to be at least one chopper flight a weekend out of that place. Ramming a tree at 30 mph usually does a number on a person.

Thanks for that illuminating tip, T. I'm memorizing that I will be 49 forever. Aren't they saying that 60 is the new 40?
