[RC] Stifle surgery - Marlene Moss

Title: Message
My vet did a technique on one of our boarded horses that I hadn't found in somewhat recent research.  This horse was a disaster - would lock up and he would panic and not stop moving frantically until he got it unlocked.  The previous owner of our place broke her wrist going off him - I took one look at how straight his hind legs were and thought he shouldn't be ridden.  It got even worse, it was just sad watching him move.  He is 3.

So finally his owner talked to the vet.  He does a procedure where he just pinholes that tendon with a needle.  As it heals, it shortens.  Now the horse moves fantastically and doesn't buck except for joy out in pasture.  He had gotten very nervous and would jump anytime someone was around him, now he is just fine.

It cost about $300.
