[RC] my endurance buggy horse!!!! - Ed Kilpatrick

knowing jody like i do,  she wasnt just lucky that aries worked out just fine pulling a buggy.  this is a been there done that kind of horse with a great mind, and jody is smart enough to know what the horse can handle.  granted, you cant do it that way with a lot of horses, but you sure can with some. not every horse is a good driving candidate, so its best to start with one that has the disposition for it.

one of the worst buggy wrecks i ever saw was a dadgum purebred arab pulling a two wheeled cart.  the gal was getting ready to unhook the cart, and decided to take the  bridle(with blinkers) off first, bad idea!.  that horse took off like a rocket, tearing through camp, knocking over tents and toilet paper fences, then turned into a wide circle around a big oak tree.  i managed to get to her in a hurry and was able to grab the halter that was hanging around her neck and bring her to a stop. luckily, nobody was hurt.     cowboy ed
