Re: [RC] My endurance/buggy horse !!!! - Barbara McCrary

My quotation is:  "There is nothing between you and Eternity but a couple of leather straps."
Don't get me wrong....I love driving a horse.  Unfortunately, our county road has become to heavily traveled that it is no longer safe to drive a horse there.  And on weekends, high-speed motorcyclists come roaring through our neighborhood at extreme speeds.  I don't want to be anywhere near them with, or on a horse!
When our two eldest girls were in elementary school, I had the wonderful experience of being able to drive 5 miles to the school to pick them up and 5 miles to return.  I had to cross a state highway twice to get away from driving ON it, but 40 years ago I could actually do this.  What a memory...

You got that right!  We had a friend killed in a buggy wreck some years ago.  I'd much rather be on their back than in a buggy.
