Re: [RC] Coolers - Horse ElinoreL.Tonsor

Title: Re: [RC]   Coolers
Wool.  100% wool is the BEST cooler.  Get woven, not pressed.  The wool will wick the moisture away from your horse and hold it on top of the cooler.  In very cold weather, the top of the cooler will develop frost, while the horse's coat is drying below.  All wool can be washed in cold water and line dried.  It won't shrink until you put it in the dryer - or use hot water to wash it.

Subject: [RC]   Coolers

Does anyone have a favorite cooler for their horse or recommend one? I am trying to decide what material is best for cooling.

Thanks,
Dawn
