[RC] Methods to teach a horse to tie well - Karen Everhart

Ed,

That is probably the most profound thing I have read on this list in my short history here because it is SO right on!!! My students (most are middle age women with kids) tell me that when I train them to train their horse, and they finally learn the art of consistency, fairness and swift reprimand (I did not say harsh, just swift), they become better parents!!! Ya gotta stop it before it starts.

Thank You!!

Domestic animals and people are easiest to train, if they never have gotten
bad habits. If your child receives a mild, but consistent reproof the first time and every succeeding time he/she engages in antisocial behavior, chances are very good that he/she will grow up to be a good citizen. If he/she develops the habit of engaging in antisocial behavior, the chances are that even years of jail time will not change things as an adult.
