Re: [RC] FreeWest - Julienne

Hi Julie,

I've used my FreeWest with the Weber stirrups (not the western fenders) for a few rides now.  A 3 day LD, a 25, and 50 miler.  I've gotten excellent back scores.  I used an equipedic at first, but the pad really wasn't long enough so I switched to a HAF pad with the extra inserts.  The HAF pad makes the saddle pretty stable.  I have a saddle cover from Candy specifically made for the FreeWest plus sheepskin stirrup covers and that makes for a nice ride.  THe toughest challenge I've had to deal with is the cantle pack.  It's tricky to get the Stowaway pack on there so it won't bounce.  No matter what I do it just seems to bounce (unless I have my rump rug underneath it).  Oh yeah, I tried the sweat flaps with the FreeWest shaped HAF pad and hated them because they were so slippery.  I'm sticking with the normal Freeform HAF pad.
