Re: [RC] re: [RC] Ortho-Flex Patriot was "saddle twist" - Don Huston - rides2far@xxxxxxxx

OF Patriot has been my main enduro saddle for 8
years now. After several months riding I decided to
remove the metal spacers from all 4 points and screwed
the panels flush with the tree but not tight,

Mine had plastic spacers. I took them all off. At the time I thought it was
causing a pressure
spot but turned out that it was probably me riding twisted to hold my wet
sponge out to the
side. I just left them off anyway.

I have to keep an eye on the bolt on the left front now because it sometimes
backs out. I
just check it with a screwdriver when I saddle. Seems like it won't move for a
long time,
then it will suddenly be sticking up. Tried some sort of lock tight or
something but it didn't
work. I'm hesitant to glue it since I've had a screw sheer off that was holding
my stirrup
bracket and they had to get it out of there.
