RE: [RC] Club foot - heidi

My vet tells me that the club foot diagnosis isn't made from the 
outward appearance of the hoof, but rather the bony alignment of the 
foot and pastern on x-ray. Rooney gives a good discussion of the subject

Thanks for posting that link, Bruce--I haven't had time to go look up any 
references.  

As you can probably tell from my other posts on the subject, the "labeling" of 
high-low horses as "club footed" is a pet peeve of mine--and it is one that has 
no clinical justification whatsoever unless one can demonstrate the bony 
changes radiographically.
