[RC] Tie up questions? - spiritwood@xxxxxxxxx

Hi All,
I have several questions regarding horses that have tied up in the past.
1. Is the tendency to tie up been shown to definately be an inherited
trait, or is it just a management problem?
2. With horses that have tied up in the past, can they be returned to
competition with a much changed management program which is based on the
"no grain" program?
3. If a horse has had a tie up, is this a definate reason NOT to breed if
it is a mare?
I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback here. Thanks.

Becky
