[RC] TWH's jumping - paradigm

Mary Ann asked: ?Anyone know if they like to jump or? My 'dressage'
trained daughter says they 'don't' jump. ?

I can only give my personal experience on my half TWH half Arab. I
thought it would be a good idea to teach him to jump obstacles at least 2
feet high in case we would encounter a downed tree on trail. I won?t bore
you with the details except to say he picked it up very quickly. I have
55 gallon drums laid down on their sides. My horse will gait right to the
jump and go over without missing a step. In the saddle it is barely
noticible. He willingly goes over them and continues his gait on the
other side. I have not tried to go any higher however.

Good luck!
