RE: [RC] FEI rule against owners in the crewing area - Melissa Alexander

I don't know that it's fair to jump to the conclusion that the US was
intentionally trying to get an advantage.

1. Does FEI allow one person to have more than one type of credential? If
not, and if the FEI hadn't enforced this rule in the past, the US made a
logical choice.

2. If, in the past, FEI allowed owners into the crewing area despite a rule
to the contrary, then the US is simply doing what they were taught by the
FEI. Inconsistent application of a rule is "bad training," and frustrating
to the learner. It's apt to trigger the fight or flight response -- in other
words, protests, anger, acting out, or refusal to play the FEI game at all.
