[RC] I call it "Equizac".... - Ranelle Rubin

For those poor depressed souls who have had to resort to Prozac and other anti-depressants, I genuinely feel for you if you have truly been diagnosed as clinically depressed.

I prefer to ward off that insidious problem with regular doses of long rides and nuzzles..in fact my Doc son lifted his head an whinneyed LOUDLY tonight when I went out to feed...I call that EQUIZAC.....LARGE DOSES PRN!

        >>>Thank you for sharing your Mom's story in such a beautiful way.
<<<

Ditto-(Still tears in my eyes ) Yes- thanks for sharing. Wow, 53 is young! My Mom lost her battle with cancer at the age of 42 when I was 4. I am 43 now and worry about the same fate.

From what little I had been told about her she never complained and always
made the best of whatever she had to work with.

So tell your Mom; "You Go Girl" !!!!
Nothing to be ashamed of at all for medicating for real pain.
Life is too short to allow circumstances to keep us from our passions if
there is anything we can do about it!

Our horses are my mental therapy -
Thanks for sharing and keep us updated about your Mom. K?

I just have to share with you all how happy this discussion has made my
mom... She is 53 years old and in 2003 she was diagnosed with stage 3 colon
cancer - it had spread to her lymph nodes and she was a mess. Several
surgeries later, and after 8 months of chemo therapy, she is now *hopefully*
cancer free.
