RE: [RC] Things Not to Say to A Horse Owner (More) - Chris Paus

ROTF... Yeah... heard some of these too.
One day I was riding down a dirt road and met up with a "cowgirl" on her QH, riding very slowly.
I stopped to say hi. She looked at me up and down and then said, "do you do some kind of competition or something?"
Gosh, here I am in Kansas QH country, on a prancy bay Arab. I'm wearing brightly colored lycra tights, a riding helmet, using a saddle with horn, "stuff" hanging all over the saddle. Gosh, how could she tell, LOL...

Here are few I have personally run into, mostly since doing endurance..
" Why in the world do you need more than one saddle? Did you grow an extra butt?"
" Are you sure that skinny little horse of yours can keep up with us on our trail ride? We are going to ride most of the day and probably cover over 10 miles."
