[RC] Going Metric - Bruce Weary DC

Tracey--
Going metric would be very difficult here in the US, and here are some reasons why:
1) Give 'em a centimeter and they'll take a kilometer.
2) "Get your fresh, hot, 1.065 foot long hot dogs right here!"
3) Walk a kilometer in my shoes.
4) ".....and it's first and 10.65 yards to go for the Packers."
5) Jim Brown is the NFL all-time meterage champion ( or is it Walter Payton?)
6) When I was a kid, I would walk a country kilometer to school.
7) "It's not the years that catch up with you. It's the kilometers."
8) "How many kilometers is it to the next vet check?"
9) "My Honda Civic gets great gas kilometerage!"
10) "We inched closer to our goal, centimeter by centimeter."
So, Tracey, just back away slowly from metrics, and no one will get hurt. Dr Q
