Thank you to all who have written to express sympathy about our  
Beagle, Cecil. I bought him for my husband as an engagement present,  
and he bought the doxie, Beanie for me as a wedding present. It is so  
hard to lose an animal when you regard them as lifetime companions. I  
know he had a great life, and should have known his nose would bring  
him trouble someday-with his decline in the last year, he couldn't  
hop back out of the trash, he may have had a heart attack, we don't  
really know. It's a honor to give an animal a good life, it hurts to  
lose them, but my life would be much the poorer without their  
presence. He was a very comical dog in his younger years, and a  
fabulous baby sitter his whole life.
