[RC] setting records - Jonni

Bermuda. Eat your hearts out. :-) <<<

I've decided to never brag or tease people about having awesome hay prices
ever again. No. TX is usually one of the places that will have wonderful,
wonderful coastal bermuda, and really low prices as compared to the rest of
the country. Our pasture has about 18 acres worth of coastal that gets
baled. But, this year, we have had pretty much no rain, and not only was
there nothing to bale, I am just about ready to start feeding hay as my 5
horses have ate everything they can find of their 25 acres they graze.
Usually on a normal year, I've not had to start adding hay until late
September, even October as they have something to graze on. With the weather
patterns doing some odd things, you never know when your area could be next
for unusual weather issues, causing you to have to pay $8.00 (or more) a
bale for 60 pound bales of coastal.
