Re: [RC] [RC] [RC] small acreage,.... - bluwolf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxWe set up our fields to take advantage of rolling hills, tree windbreaks, an interesting neighbor who pampers the guys, the barn, copses of trees, the water tanks & spring. The house breaks up two of the pastures so they have to "go around". With all the interesteng things in dfferent locations on the 10 acres, the fellas never really stop moving. Several times a day they get up to a hard gallop & really move out.I have to say that I enjoy watching the horses herd the deer & turkey - even our old retired arthritic gelding. I can't imagine setting up a "playground" that would be any more effective than enough room and interesting places & different types of shelters that the natural lay of the land allows. Linda Our guys keep moving with few breaks. Quoting Debbie Kirchner <dakota.charm@xxxxxxxxx>: my goal is to make it more like Jamie Jackson's Paradise Paddock at our next place.. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
