RE: [RC] [RC] More Feeding Discussion- Bring Coffee, This is long - Jennifer Adam

To Dr. Q - World Renowned Expert on Many Things -
and to anyone else with a suggestion! :D

I appreciate all the info on beet pulp and feeding in general - Thank You! I spent this morning reading Susan Garlinghouse's articles on nutrition (should have been working, but oh well) and found them fascinating. I'd like to read more - what articles/books/other sources can you recommend? Besides nutrition for the equine athlete in conditioning/competition, I'd also like to know more about optimum feeding for a future endurance prospect. Around here people feed their QH halter prospects until they look like the Incredible Hulk on four legs <shudder>. I've seen QH yearlings that had more bulk than my 6 year old mustang - yikes!

Thanks again -
(expert on ignorance)

I just love discussions about feeding. So I'll ramble on a bit about some feeding principles that make sense to me and we can kick a few ideas around. I have been a feed fanatic for years now and read voraciously in the field.
