"A stock trailer is probably the most likely to stir things up."

I just have a stock trailer for my horses - as I'm just beginning this whole endurance thing I don't really have the money for another trailer just now, although I do drool over the Featherlite catalog!! I've never hauled more than about 250 miles, and I was picking up my first mustang so I couldn't put boots or a mask on her. I had large shavings and a little straw on the floor. I now have rubber mats. What is the best way to haul a horse in a stock trailer? My trailer is a 4-horse, only 2 years old, with a high ceiling. Is it okay to use this trailer?
Thanks,
Jen
