On rare occasions, I'll "crack" the windows to let heat out of the cab or I'll barely open the wing windows.  You can feel the drag kick in if I open the wing windows all the way, along with the dramatic increase in air pressure within the cab.  I usually just use the vents in the dash.  I don't have A/C at home either so the heat doesn't bother me that bad.

I read that just by rolling your windows down you cause more drag so
you're better off to run the air. I just cut mine off on long pulls if
I'm afraid it'll overwork my engine.
