[RC] cowboy mounted shooting blanks - Ed Kilpatrickthe cases are crimped at the end, eliminating the need for any type of wadding. i pried the crimp open just now, and there is nothing in there but large granules of black powder. i think after some experimentation with the loads, it was determined that the crushed corn cob or walnut shell was no longer needed. these blanks will burst a balloon at a distance of about 20 feet. cowboy ed
