My husbands horse was the slooooowest young horse in the world when he
was started. About a year or 2 later,on our shore-to-shore (MTRA 11 day ride,
not endurance) he learned to single foot (not a gaited horse TB/paint) & had
no problems keeping up with the gaited horse we rode with. He is now a speed
walking son of a gun.
