I have one, it's name is Big Boy. Now Big Boy is a 5000w....but the name was not given due to any load capacity....but due to the level of noise that it makes. If you go ahead and buy your own version of Big Boy, be prepared for the following:
No one will save you a parking place.
People will frown when you pull into camp.
People will clap and shout when you cut it off.
You will become the example of ride meetings when they cover the part about generator cut off times.
But other than that....you can hardly hear it at all, when your inside with the air conditioner running. :)))

Does anyone use a Coleman 3125 (3000w) generator. Northern Tool has it for $299.99. The decibel level is 67 compared to the Honda 3000EU which is 58 -- and costs a whole lot more! Upshot is I would love a quieter, more affordable generator to start with. Any ideas?
