Re: [RC] [RC] spot-on fly treatment dangers? - Bette LamoreI use Frontline-- not the plus-- and buy it in the big size, as you do, Meryanne, and never have had a problem with it. I also give by weights and the vet gave me a little "nipple" container and showed what levels to fill it to for the cats and then for my different sized dogs. Although humans aren't supposed to touch it, I always manage to get a little on me and after worming one time a friend and I had to go out to long grass pasture to fix a fence. She came back loaded with ticks and I didn't have one. Perhaps I am slowly poisoning myself with the traces I get every month-- yet I HATE ticks and it is probably worth it to me (I don't smoke or drink much-- guess you have to have some "vice" in your life and I'm too tired at night for my former one ;-) HORSES-- the most failsafe form of birth control!!!Bette Bette Lamore Whispering Oaks Arabians Home of Bunny and 16.2h TLA Halynov who lives on through his legacy Hal's Riverdance! http://www.arabiansporthorse.com "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming --WOW-- what a ride !! Having a zillion Rat Terriers as well as a Dane, Dalmation and a shepherd sized mutt, I buy large boxes of the Dane size Frontline and draw it off the exact amounts. I've had dogs get extremely weird if overdosed even by a small amount. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
