With respect to altitude,since horses and man share the same biochemical template,altitude would only start to become an issue when you go beyond 9000 fee ,when the" oxygen diffusion capacity" curve take a steep fall.If you are involve in mountain climbing effort beyond this takeoff height atke greater toll and beyond 11,000 some unacclimaised individual may experience mild symptom of "mountain sickness".
