Good answer, Alexa!  I've only done one ride and it was an LD.  Believe me,
I was thrilled to just compete at the ride.  To receive a "present" (that's
what I call it rather than an award) from the Ride Manager was a very nice
extra, and certainly not expected.  As far as I was concerned, I sure didn't
have to have a reward other than completing the ride.
